We chose the hotel on a whim after learning that our son's weekend baseball tournament had been moved to the University of Delaware, and he had to be at the field at 7am. We're accustomed to staying in a hotel for baseball weekends, and usually have to rush around in the morning when we're barely awake to pack up and check out while making sure we get him to the field on time. It was luxurious knowing we didn't have to be out of the room until noon - and with the field less than 10 minutes away, we were able to watch the game and return to the room for a change of clothes before checking out! Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the breakfast buffet (we chose a few more minutes of sleep and granola bars in the car), but it looked delicious. As far as the room itself, I joked that I wanted to bring the bed home with me! Wonderful firm (but not too firm) mattress - couldn't even feel my husband's movements on the other side - and soft, cottony sheets. Bottomless supply of hot water, good water pressure, nicely scented body wash, shampoo, and conditioner (it was nice knowing that we didn't have to lug all this with us when we were just staying one night), and plenty of fluffy, bright white towels. The room was creatively laid out with a desk area separating the beds from the "living room" end of the suite, and there was a microwave, coffeemaker, and a true mini fridge (not one of those ones that you have to repeatedly turn on every few hours like they have in some hotels). Also loved that the drapes were truly room darkening and fully spanned the width of the window. We usually request a room on a high floor and away from the elevators to minimize noise, but I forgot this time. We ended up on the second floor but were near the end of the hall. I was vaguely aware of a few people coming down the hallway to their rooms near us, but it was extremely quiet after they closed their doors.

We have stayed here before -- which already says a lot. Rooms are spacious, staff is friendly, lobby is always hopping, breakfast is good, workout room good. Love that the rooms are suites so you have a bonus area with couch even with the basic room. This time we had a bit of a mix up with the reservation and faced with a king bed rather than two queens for two moms and two teen sons, and a sold out hotel, the desk staff went above and beyond to help us set up extra mattresses, loaded with pillows and blankets and everything we needed. They helped us make it so cozy and comfy that when a two queen opened for us for the second night the teen boys did not even want to move, we had to force them. Really, kudos to the Phyllis and John who made our stay perfect and welcoming despite the third party reservation site's mix up.

The free breakfast was actually really nice! So many options and the food was actually really yummy. Last hotel I went to was like bananas and watery eggs and hard toast. But this hotel had so many options, all fresh, quiche, yogurt, sausage sandwiches on bagels, cereal, etc. I also really liked how the shower came stocked with full size body wash and shampoo and conditioner (mounted to wall so no freebies Hahahha) but so roomy and nice and had free water bottles on the counter in lobby and a nice bar in lobby.

Hotel is clean, modern and close to major attractions in Newark. Rooms are very spacious. This is my second time staying here and would definitely stay again. My family lives 2 miles away from the hotel and is the perfect place to stay when visiting. Breakfast is included and has many options. I had a minor issue during my stay, and the staff was very quick addressing it and solving the issue.

Alexandra

Breakfast was great. My husband and I appreciated the healthy add-ins for the oatmeal. My oldest daughter enjoyed making a bagel sandwich, and my younger daughter loved the waffles with blueberry compote. Everything was delicious and the area was very clean. The free water bottles in the lobby were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable.
